Biography Akshata Moorthy is an undergrad pursuing a double major in Neurobiology and Genetics/Genomics. She is originally from Minnetonka, Minnesota. Her current project involves analyzing the change in protein termination/ejection rate upon mutation of the ribosomal exit tunnel. Some of her hobbies include dancing, running, traveling and playing the violin.

Biography Evan Schmidt is an undergrad pursuing a major in Biochemistry. He is originally from Stoughton, Wisconsin. His current project involves determining the kinetic trapping of “harmful/undesirable” insoluble aggregates of proteins upon release from the ribosome. Some of his hobbies include swimming, traveling, reading, and spending time with family & friends.
