Email: jdas7@wisc.edu

Joyati Das is a graduate student pursuing a PhD in Biophysics. Joyati is originally from Assam, India and has received has received her BSc. in Biotechnology from Cotton University, Guwahati and MSc. in Life Sciences with a specialization in Biochemistry and Biophysics from the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. Her previous research focused on how residue-level conformational constraints influence cyclic peptide structure, membrane permeability, and other pharmacokinetic properties. Joyati’s current research project in the Cavagnero lab involves characterizing Hsp70 interactions with client proteins during folding by cryo-EM and NMR to understand structural and dynamic states of these complexes. Some of her hobbies include writing, painting, photography and exploring new places.
